My name is Elise Cook and I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) specializing in Couple and Family Counseling. I have 12+ years experience working with adult individuals and couples. I believe that we do our best healing through our most supportive and secure relationships. The therapeutic bond is one of these types of secure relationships and I work hard at ensuring that my client's feel seen, heard and supported in a safe and challenging environment. Through mindfulness and nervous system regulation skills, I help clients create the internal safety necessary to begin to heal wounds and be more grounded in present life. This can lead to finding a different perspective and allows more space for clients to consider the bigger questions of meaning and purpose. I live in Denver with my partner of 25+ years and 90 lb German Shepard. I am a home body who enjoys cross stitching, crafting, Legos, and playing video games. I love trying new restaurants, watching football, traveling and geeking out on anything sci-fi/ fantasy.
